Nurses worldwide still track temperatures of vaccine fridges on paper charts–an outdated and burdensome practice that could miss potentially hazardous excursions. In this randomized control trial, we compare remote temperature monitoring (RTM) tech against less automated methods.

In this second investigation on why vaccine fridges fail, the team looks at 83 fridges in 27 health facilities in Mozambique. The data revealed the most common reasons for failures and how maintenance can be made easier.
